Bath Assembly Rooms and Guildhall Wedding Photography
Oliver and Emma were married at The Bath Assembly Rooms with the reception at Guildhall just down the road. It was a full day with plenty of opportunity to capture the wedding in a natural style. I started the day in the centre of Bath where the bridal party was on their way to Bath Spa Hotel to check in to get ready for the ceremony. This gave me the perfect opportunity for some documentary photography on the street as people buzzed around getting everything into the taxis. The Bath Spa hotel is a stunning wedding venue and the room in which Emma got ready was no disappointment. Once the dress was on and I had what I needed, I headed off to The Assembly rooms to shoot the Groom and his groomsmen before Emma arrived in the small but perfectly formed wedding car.
The Assembly Rooms, where the couple were married, are an impressive set of national trust ballrooms in the city of Bath just across from the famous Royal Crescent. After the ceremony, the guests piled onto London buses while I took the couple over to the Royal Crescent for some photography and then headed down to Guildhall in the centre of Bath for the reception. An equally impressive looking building and rooms, the Guildhall is right next to the beautiful Bath Abbey which you’ll see featured in one of the images.
Emma had organised the day brilliantly and surrounded herself with people that knew what they were doing, resulting in a very smooth running day. The couple themselves were a joy to work with, friendly, appreciative and generous and I’m really pleased with the results.
